Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 election because of his age, but, ironically, age remains the biggest factor in this Presidential race. Donald Trump is now the oldest candidate in history at 78 years of age, is overweight, and afflicted with anger and other mental issues. His opponent, Kamala Harris, is 20 years younger. She will likely be uncontested for the nomination because of time constraints and will quickly choose the best possible running mate who would be, for a number of reasons, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly. Finally, the other “age” factor is that Harris and the Democrats will enjoy a significant demographic advantage and opportunity. This fall, another 8.3 million Generation Zs will turn 18 or 19 and be eligible to vote. Of these, 47 percent are people of color who are overwhelmingly left of center on most issues including abortion rights. (Also a majority of white female Generation Zs are left of center.) If most of these voters opt for Kamala, and are added to the 7,059,547 extra votes that Biden got in 2020, she will win by a landslide.
