He is in fact a cartoon character of a 'loser' and the kind of delusional old codger (and I'm old so I get to say this without malice aforethought) you hope no one invites to Thanksgiving because he'll spend the entire meal spilling food on the table and spouting opinions toxic enough to cause a mass exodus before the pies are dished up. I'd sigh, but I'm beyond sighing. Someone get me outta here.
Trump, to use a term coined, I think, by H.L. Mencken, is a bloviator. He bloviates continuously. However, he lacks the physical and/or emotional courage that his bloviation might suggest he possesses.
Going further, I might suggest his admiration for Putin arises from their shared propensity to bully. Trump’s grandiosity, but lack of courage, restricts his bullying to verbiage. He is quntessential politician; the only mammal I know of born without a spine!
Not so Putin. His authoritarian thuggery is genocidal! We have no Western leadership that will stand up to him except through eyewash sanctions or proxies with courage, like Ukraine!
