It’s difficult to avoid the tawdry Donald Trump trial in New York or to duck discussions with others as to whether he is guilty, innocent, or a victim. In my opinion, the factual narrative tells the tale. In a nutshell, Trump and two unscrupulous sidekicks forked out $310,000 in hush money to hide sordid details about Trump’s adulterous affairs but completely failed to do so. Instead, details are now plastered all over the planet which leads to, whether you voted for Trump or not, several conclusions. Trump is not faithful. He's not forthright. He has impulse control problems. He has poor judgment. He’s a lousy strategist. He cannot judge character. And he’s not very smart. In other words, Trump embodies none of the characteristics required to manage the world’s biggest economy nor to wield the button that controls the biggest nuclear arsenal in history. He will be convicted or exonerated concerning the criminal charges he faces, but as this grinds on it’s better than 50-50 odds that the Republican Party will need another nominee to run this fall for President and that Melania will soon be husband-hunting.
