this makes it even more imperative to make sure Donald Trump loses decisively before he leads us into WW3 and on the wrong side at that.

So true Amazing that anyone wants to vote for an admirer of a brutal Hitler like Putin and thanks so much for revealing this Diane.

We are in WW3, thanks to Biden and his equivocation prior to and the day of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine. Make no mistake, it is the West against Russia/China and their minions in the Middle East. Trump has know this for a decade and slowly the rest of the west is realizing it too.

Not Biden it’s Putin who trump admires - get it straight

Oh so true. Trump a great admirer of the fascist dictator and well is now is dementia according to a number of experts. And in deep legal trouble.

Trump just made several billion $ with his new media company going public last week. That probably negates the losses suffered at the hands of political opponents who have persecuted him with over the past 10 years. He will also overcome his "legal" troubles too.

this is blatantly false. Contributions must be backed up.

"Trump just made several billion $..." Subject to a six month holding period in a seriously over valued market which could very easily for a questionable equity like "truth social" deliver next to nothing to security holders. Why would anyone want to visit a website and read Frump's endless whining? Can anyone actually say that Frump has good fortune going for him? lol Will the stormy trial put him in the slammer? Will any of his judgements and fines be reduced?

Frump the man of god. lol

Excellent point. TRUMP HAS NOT MADE SEVERAL BILLION $S -- THIS IS ANOTHER GRIFT AND CON. The "tape has been painted" and the "value" of his stock is based on light trading by manipulators to suck in others to pay increasing prices that may never be realized when the market is finally involved.

"Why would anyone want to visit a website and read Frump's endless whining?" That number would include those who paid $50 per share today - 18 million of them.

There are a few people who have actual winnings at Vegas, but I suspect that most people end up losing money and admittedly some enjoy the excitement and are regulars despite losing money. Facebook has the bulk of social media business. There are others such as Parler, Gab maybe Nextdoor and there might well be some that I haven't heard of. DJT has a market cap of about $5.5b but yesterday it was about $6.5b. And that's about $6.4b more than it is worth.

DWAC was a business set up to have the requirement of a business, organization and set up to trade on the Nasdaq, but their business was to acquire one or more businesses. The original owners of DWAC have the best chance to make some money, I should say acquire some money and my crystal ball isn't coming in good enough to say that Frump won't make money on it but I will be surprised.

NATO should have mobilized in 2014. Waiting 10 years (at least) to see what happens has been a huge mistake.

My apologies, Diane, to anyone who may be offended by the comparisons I am about to make, but it is intended merely to reinforce the critical importance of supporting Ukraine. Much too often, even for those most concerned about Ukraine's well-being, we overlook the risk of stretching the rubber band till it breaks. Let me explain:

In World War II - shortly after Hitler's takeover of the Sudetenland - Hitler had a very significant military force facing the rest of Europe, but nowhere near the ridiculous asymmetry we see in the Ukraine-Russia confrontation in February 2022.

Poland surrendered in less than a month, France in less than two months, and most of the other neighboring nations between a week and two months. Ukraine has been standing alone - except for the sharing of intelligence and procurement of armaments - for over two years and still refuses to give up an inch of Ukrainian soil, though it may have to recover some of it.

Also....by way of comparison.....the USSR received over $12 billion in lend-lease support from the U.S., which - in current dollar value would be over $200 billion to fight Hitler only from one side. Yet Trump and his ignorant supporters find it too costly to contribute more than $65 billion in military support for a country that is taking on the 2nd (or at least 3rd) most potent military force in the world.

When will the rubber band finally tear? And then what...........who will take on Putin?

Great title! Thanks for calling attention to the prescient work of Pres. Pavel. My Dad, who lived through WWII in Holland, was a great believer in the old Latin motto 'Semper Paratus.' One of the political obstacles ( to a functioning army) we face in Canada is that many refuse to accept the harsh reality of the new (post Feb22) global dis-order. Many Liberals were lulled to sleep by the delusions of the end of History theory, among other globalist myths. Keep on giving us the facts behind the headlines.

Very grim! Pavel's effort to deliver 800K+ artillery rounds is very good news. The dithering in congress by really disgusting, low-life republicans is shameful and just plain stupid. How can anyone observe the war and not feel threatened? America has largely avoided the destruction of war in the past, but I would not bank on a continuation of that avoidance.

Thanks for the reporting. I hope it helps.

Historically U.S. entry into conflicts has been uneven at best. Viet Nam may come to mind. Invading Iraq was initiated on questionable intelligence and their involvement in Libya and Afghanistan created chaos that still exists today. Even in the Second World War U.S. involvement only began at the very end of 1941 after Pearl Harbour was attacked and not in 1939 like most of the Allies. Great when they show up as it definitely turned the tide in WW 2 but over reliance on that timing should not be your plan A.

Do recall that FDR bent over backwards to accommodate the Russians. He literally monetized their genocide against Ukraine by ending the embargo on purchasing the grain that Russia stole from the mouths of 10 million murdered souls. So entering WWII prior to 1941 also would have meant declaring war against Russia, the darling of the left. Russia started the war with their ally, the Nazis and it would have been extremely difficult to justify shooting only National Socialists and not Soviet Socialists.

Why are we always late to the party - why are we so slow, despite the intelligence that is bragged about, to address the threat? Crimea WAS the litmus test for Russia and saw the 'yellow' and or 'stupidity' of the free world. Obama missed BIG on this, I believe he was Pres at the time RU took Crimea. The horse is out of the barn - will WE wake up & get moving & get this turned around? UKR has to be furious with the lack of support after their agreement with USA & UK in removing their nuc's in exchange for protection - this has become 'insane' - poor Syria is a prime example of how a county is over taken & flattened - sorry for venting BUT Diane's reporting has been SPOT on yet - those in intelligence positions are 'incompetent."!!!

As usual, excellent article. How much more damage will Putin be allowed to inflict on Ukraine, Europe and the World which have provided shelter to the many refugees, and so many other countries over the past 15-plus years? Putin's ambitions are not righteous ones, simply money and power.

The UN, EU and the US need to take immediate action to prevent WW III, even at the expense of starting it. Putin must be challenged because a mediated solution does not appear possible. Enough of this insanity... the World is on hedge.

The thought of Trump possibly becoming the President of the US is disconcerting.

What holds us back is the racism and chauvinism weaved into our system. Racism and chauvinism is preventing us from being proud of how diverse we are and is muffling our tolerance. If it weren’t for these flaws all of our elected representatives would easily understand how important it is to support Ukraine against Russia. Their frame of minds and thereby their ability to think critically and strategically are spoiled by racism and chauvinism.

No, its probably due to the Commies and the billion$ in "education" they have "weaved" into the system.
