If you want to experience just a little bit what our Black citizens have experienced all over this country, pay a visit to the EQUAL JUSTICE INITIATIVE’S museum and memorial deep in the heart of Dixie, Montgomery, Alabama. Our Black brothers, sisters and children have been systematically hounded, hanged and persecuted all over this land. Some places were and still are worse than others but no place escapes blame or shame. If you are strong enough to visit this place, be prepared for your heart to break. We, as whites, have much to atone for.
