This has become a cesspool of corruption, manipulation, interference, and opportunists' delight. The fact that RU literally destroyed Syria forcing mass evacuation & refugee plight & now this debacle with Israel looking really pathetic overall is like a nest of grenades. The country that is suffering due to this deflection of 'trouble' is UKR - you can bet the farm that RU has its tentacles in this 'big time'. We have a world war now - just a matter of time before European countries to admit it but their silence is a show of complacency. More dangerous than ever before.

Note that the new military aid package to Ukraine is three times that to Israel. Let Ukraine crush Russia and most ME terrorists are defunded.

I must add that I am 'floored' that Israel does NOT support Ukraine - THAT just took my breath away on this info. No wonder there is so much distrust & angst in that area.

The worst part is that Russia shipped weapons and boatloads of cash to Hamas to fund the invasion. Putin also provided satellite Intel

The intelligence of this storing and 2-yr prep by Hamas is the most serious part of this story, if you will. I hope USA realizes how critical it now is for UKR to defeat RU and for more serious sanctions on Russia to squeeze the Russian population into understanding their plight - a leader who cares NOTHING about anything but himself.

Russia will get around sanctions but Reagan knew what it took. Drill aggressively in Northern American and Europe to get the price of oil down a level where Russia (and Iran) are bankrupt.

Thanks Diane. Revealing "This relationship with Netanyahu has convinced Israel not to help Ukraine militarily as well as to refuse to condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. " I did not know Putin and Netanyahu are hand in glove. More than time for Netanyahu to go.

Piers Morgan yesterday told the Palestinian ambassador to UK that the BBC showed footage of a Hamas rocket landing on the hospital as it broke up in flight. So yes, Biden is right. Jordan and Egypt should have met him but thank you for praising Biden for his excellent visit to calm things down.

One question: Was it Trump, not Biden, who removed US forces from Afghanistan? My nephew fought with the British army in Afghanistan and thought the west should get out.

What a world in which we live.

Biden pull out the US and most people were glad, but Trump left a mess and made a sweetheart deal with the Taliban before he exited office.

Thanks I thought Trump initiated the pull out and Biden completed it and unfairly got a lot of flack. Now Taliban despots rule...plus ca change!

I was listening to a discussion on YouTube about the air strike on the Gaza Hospital and they were analyzing the incoming rocket, its trajectory and obviously now, debris. I am curious to see what the actual findings of that report might be as these pundits’ initial ideas were that there was no way Hamas or Islamic Jihad had weapons capable of carrying out that sort of attack. Again, initial thoughts, but like Russia blaming Ukraine for shelling its own hospitals I am a little leery of that narrative.

I heard that Hamas’s rockets were of poor and variable quality such that some of them fail in their trajectories.

It’s as likely a scenario as any, but the fog of war is particularly thick especially when it comes to something both sides would want to distance themselves from.

A lot of roads lead to Russia with this mess. How many of

the players in this group, have either been to see Putin

within the last 2 years, and more recently, has he visited? Such charming photo

ops for all.

I am very suspicious of MSB. I

don't trust him. He gives me

the heebie jeebies and it

has nothing to do with his

being a murderer. I felt that

way before he visited the

consulate in Istanbul. I think

he's a snake.

Are we really that dependent

on Saudi oil, Diane? Or is this

why we are opening a door

with Venezuela?

Yes, the silence was deafening from Israel as many other countries committed support to Ukraine, so I looked into it myself with my scant means. I learned that Israel didn’t sign onto sanctions and any oligarch claiming one Jewish grandparent could get citizenship, and pay no taxes on foreign earnings for 10 years. So a number of them went there where their money and business dealings could be safe. Meanwhile the Russian atrocities continued in Ukraine and the deportation of their children. When Zelensky begged them for military help, especially the Iron Dome technology, the Israelis would not help, even though so much of that was a gift to them from the U.S. There was an excuse about not wanting to anger the Russians who were allowing them to take occasional military action in Syria and continue to let Jews from Russia move there. I can’t weigh those justifications and policies in an ideal manner, but to me they felt like lesser priorities than the ghastly straits of the Ukrainians.
