Excellent analysis, as always.

My concern is not about Europe anymore - knowing that Poland has obviously read the 'tea' leaves correctly - Russia will NOT stop & will remain a threat if not defeated, once and for all. It's what's happened to Canada that really scares me silly. No other countries even mention Canada in any kind of confidence to support any 'organization' of defence. Our only hope is to be included in the defence alliance with others so THEY can protect US! should we be attacked. As we sit on oil/gas that Europe & Asia want from us - our leader (aka loser) smooshes with other leaders - showing off his socks - & trying to look like a diplomat that should be considered for a UN position. In the meantime, Canada has sunk into oblivion & the NDP support that, the East & BC keep supporting Liberals & we are democratically stuck in 'shit'.

Trudeau and his cabinet of amateurs are embarrassing. Check out this piece I just wrote: https://financialpost.com/diane-francis/justin-trudeau-liberals-amateurs

Well, I read it - shouldn't have cuz I lost my appetite for breakfast - BUT the facts are clear in your report - much worse than I even imagined yet despite this egregious report - you can't shame PM wanabe Singh to cut the support. That's another depressing story ! Thanks for the link. LA

Look out Germany and France....the new axis of Europe is migrating eastward with perhaps a branch to the Nordic and British environs

A must-read article. I've shared several times. In their own ways, Poland and Ukraine are assuming the mantle of democratic leadership and each doing it well under difficult circumstances.

poland no doubt recalls russias refusal to aid polish patriots as germany was being defeated ...the ukraine recalls holomodor ......russia is running out of friends

I just wanted to note that "inzwischen" means "in-between," not "in the meantime." I also believe that it was Stalin who betrayed the pact with Hitler by not invading Poland on the agreed date.

in the meantime is the translation and Hitler double-crossed Stalin by pushing eastward after he grabbed his half of Poland

Yes, I was wrong about inzischen, but Stalin started the double-crossing. Germany has ever been double-crossed by russia since the time of Frederick the Great and they just don't seem to learn.
