Media coverage of the "special operation" has taken a back seat to the situation in the Middle East and its good to know that Britain and the EU countries especially Germany, are finally coming around.
Well done indeed, especially the comment that armies and navies are needed to protect from invasions of hostiles, but also floods of migrants. The are all dislocated from their homelands by Russia who effectively uses them as Little Green Men sans AK47s
Syria is the perfect example of what Russia has done to that country. The Syrians were well educated - doc's, lawyers, teachers, - schools & on and on - THEN the invasion - forcing people who were raised 'free' were killed, locked away, women (well you know what happens there) NO wonder they escaped in boats to get the hell out of there - and it still goes on.

Also of course we have the Iran influence in the Middle East as you only too well know. Leading the attempts to remove Israel. Why? Pouring money into Hamas and behind the South African attempt to accuse Israel of genocide. And South Africa a corrupt and chaotically run country.
Finally had the chance to watch this great video Diane — it’s a wonderful synthesis of the several threads of your great investigative reporting. Hopefully it has attracted a wide — and ears wide open — audience.
Excellent interview and so insightful. I agree, the EU needs to build a unified military to protect European countries from a thug like Putin. The question, does Putin really represent the Russian population? Why so much anger and/or thirst to conquer other countries? The UN must recognize Putin / Russia for what it really is. So complex!

Thanks in part to the merciless jaw boning by the former administration
