The political sphere in Russia has corrupted the Russian Orthodox Church. Why does a church leader, ANY church leader, have a palace, a yacht, etc. These are the trappings of wealth. Kirill could have a problem since it is harder for a rivh man to get into heaven than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.
Very good article. I guess people did not learn from hundreds of years ago with the English king and the corrupted Church of England that did the kings bidding. It did not go well in the end either for the king and the Church. How many heads roiled back then. Putin today did not learn from the past but in the end history repeats itself maybe in a different people and time..
