Very revealing about the nature of Russia. Then we have Trump who admires the vileness of Russia and is admired by huge numbers of Americans despite Putin's behaviour and his recently revealed lies as a businessman. Here's a question. Will Putin the vile leader outlast Trump the vile ex-President?

Also, are the fates of Putin and Trump bound together? My hunch is that Trump's prospects would be damaged by Putin's demise, while Putin would be less effected by Trump's fall, though Putin would be helped by any Trump success. Trump seems to be a Putin-oligarch wannabe.

Ah well much depends on Biden. Diane maybe you should write about whether he should go? He is decent but elderly. Who to replace him?

I think the upcoming debate between Newsom and DeSantis is critical and may result in a viable alternative for Dems

That's great news and let's hope Putin's special operations fails and quickly. Maybe we need to set a target date like December 2023? Putin severely underestimated the Ukrainian desire to regain lost regions of their country. The World now realizes the importance of the Ukraine for so many different reasons that you (Diane) have reported on over the past year plus. Putin has successfully managed to re-unite the Western democracies and they realize how dangerous he really is; now he's desperate which is even more dangerous. Of course, let's hope Trump never becomes the President of the United States, and if he doesn't, he will continue to be grave distraction even if he's behind bars.

Putin must be held responsible - Since February 24, 2022, Russia has deported nearly 20,000 Ukrainian children, separating them from their families, dreams, and homes. Only 383 have returned.

PS Russia must be denuclearized
