TOTALLY enjoyed this article Diane - & I have no doubt your analysis of the current 'predicament' the world is in clearly shows that 2023 should not be one to 'bet' on as the undercurrents are strong and changes will be very much felt, whatever they are. This will change my 'spending' - save more just in case.

I agree that the US will avoid a recession because North America (with its secure energy, water and food supplies) will be called upon to bail out the EU in 2023 and beyond.

However, I ask if you are concerned about whatever virus variants may be coming out of China as the government has opened things up - a 180 change - just as the Chinese New Year of January 22 approaches with all the global travel (and disease spreading) that brings with it. The timing is similar to three years ago, and that is worrisome.

beautifuuly done diane ....medvedev is totally out of touch with reality....meanwhile here in canada we continue with the worst government in Canadian history....the ontario college of psychologists seek to suspend jordan peterson for his political commentary...they wish to submit him to a '' reeducation'' programme ....sounds a bit like chinas reeducation programmes doesnt it ??and while most of the west is firmly against russia ,, we have a situation in ontario where free speech is under attack...plus que ca change plus que c'est la meme chose....

Appreciate the "pantheon" of prognosticators—even Medvedev and his hallucinations. :)
