Qatar has the third largest reserve of natural gas and possibly the best collection and marine distribution terminal in the world. Europe is depending on Floating VLGs to get them thru this winter, and Qatar has been leaning over backward to accommodate them unlike miserly Canada and the USA.

Europe is using offshore floating storage until they can get their own storage/distribution systems installed, maybe years from now.

Germany and UK combined use a bit more gas than Canada and Qatar can easily replace Russian gas.

Are all of these Qatar complaints being fueled by Russia to impede this process?

BTW another excellent researched article.

Super article. FIFA the real culprits. I refuse to watch the games.

The entire tournament's location acceptance STUNK to high heaven. Didn't the PGA golfers get bought out as well? - If so - they really should be 'black balled' - pardon the pun. Correct me if I'm wrong. (FIFA should be dissolved - period)

What about the UAE, which currently shields Russian Oligarch's yachts and bank accounts from Western sanctions? Surely similar investigations are warranted into the billions of dollars (cash) which routinely change hands there as well.
