I'm worried that not enough 'commentators', media outlets and pundits discuss the implications of a republican control of the Congress or worse capture of the Presidency again. It seems to me that Putin is waiting for his cohorts in the republican party to gain more political power here so they can stifle/oppose American support of Ukraine. Please comment !
but now we have these false referendums in russian controlled ukraine.....putin has said that these areas are now part of russia.......any attempt to attack them could mean nuclear reaction as an attempt on russia itself...a cornerned rat is very dangerous .......and right now putin is a cornered rat......
Lots of moving parts which include American political rot - they don't have the leadership to inspire the 'redwhite&blue' to stand on their founding principles - you know the ones - that Trump squished like a cigarette butt amid applaud from his spineless puppets.
exactly this is as unfair as were the conscription rules in the US during Vietnam when African Americans and the poor were disproportionately drafted because the "college deferment" exemption for privileged guys
I am appalled how many Russians (per the chart above) feel national pride regarding Ukraine offensive.
My correction: Kurt Volker is the proper spelling... I added a "c" -- now changed on the website when you share this

good idea see comment below about this piece which is excellent by Victor Rud https://eutoday.net/news/politics/2022/why-are-american-conservatives-garroting-the-nation-that-helped-make-america-great-again
I share the same fear.
Great piece by American lawyer and Ukrainian activist-expert Victor Rud in EU Today raising that very point and outlining the history of Republican distancing from Reagan on the topic of Russia-Ukraine. See it here.https://eutoday.net/news/politics/2022/why-are-american-conservatives-garroting-the-nation-that-helped-make-america-great-again
Trump. The USA needs a more open mind.
As President he showed how that job could succeed.
Biden is showing how a poor President's policies can foul things up.
Less than 300,000 trained soldiers took Normandy. These Russians might be older, trained, and fat.
I wish Trump was still there then we wouldn't have this problem.
