Russia is dead. Sanctions have been devastating. Ukraine will win this war because they are fighting for 1. Their lives 2. Their land and 3. Their freedom. Dictator Putin started this war because he didn’t want Democracy to filter into Russia. To end the war in quick order, Biden and Blinken only have to declare Russia a State Sponsor of Terror - this would make the 1,000 western firms still doing business there exit and it will take decades for the Russian economy to recover.

I imagine that Putin never in his worst nightmares thought that the West would remain united against him, and he is now banking on two things: 1) A cold winter to bring Europeans to the negotiating table because they need his gas to heat their homes, and 2) A Republican victory in the upcoming midterm election, with the hope that this will result in a cutoff of the flow of American military aid to Ukraine.

Ukraine, once the third largest nuclear, has that ability - dirty or otherwise.

Best to let this war continue and exhaust Russian future dreams. Cheaper in the long run.

Just make sure the Uke's are well supplied.

Clearly Putin is on a fast track to hell

Which begs the question who or what will stop him from doing as much damage as possible during his final journey?
