Diane - I continue to be 'amazed' at your insight on all these 'international' affairs etc. I look forward to your continued info and analysis of situations 'around' the world. Wonderful work!!!!

The problem with the prognosis for China, India, and SE Asia to attain commercial Nirvana is that they rely on subjugating a huge swath of the population. That might have worked in past centuries when information was highly controlled, but that business plan is doomed to fail in the modern world.

Good info - a little scary. However, my greatest fear is the 'rot' within USA & Canada's lack of interest in defence.

Thank you, Diane. Yes, Russia is only using China right now

and China always plays the

Very astute understanding of

southeast Asia and their current and future rolls in

geo-politics and trade.

Interesting. I'm inclined to believe both the experts I cite that is to say that China won't decline rapidly and won't grow rapidly, depending on its "management" and "rivals". These are also long trends which must be kept in mind.

Excellent article again. I believe the Russia and China friendship forever agreement simply gave Putin the courage to invade the Ukraine. I believe that agreement is a tentative one where China could easily back out.
