Nice article.

Restructuring is basically a new set of documents over a longer term, often of a lesser amount, but the same dollars or more will eventually be repaid. They are bought by third parties as part of investment portfolios.

Then they get coupled and traded in the billions, each trade earning a couple of points for the seller.

I don’t think any country debt has ever been written off.

Yes, just like the mortgages fiasco which were government insured against loss.

China has added a new twist having invested in airports and ports.

Easier to insert their repo agents!

It’s not going away. Greece was first. Many more coming and our guy keeps spending but not using our natural wealth. Where is the cross country pipeline?

I guess spending billions and billions in the name of "Climate Change" may no longer be a SUSTAINABLE activity by national governments, especially those whose citizens have other priorities on their minds, such as the basic necessities of life.
