I like the covid analogy. Yes and Trump did nothing to stop covid spreading. But vaccinations did and well now we have the GOP vaccinating themselves against a repeat of the Trump pathogen. At last. Can I ask what Trump did to MAGA? Calling him a 'brat' is kind. Moron? But then in reprospect we can say the media has much to do with his rise, as you make clear Diane. Thanks for this article.

WHAT is the frame, or ethical vision, of progressives, liberals and Dems?

I know ---> NOTHING!

We are a bunch of unrelated special interests which tout one's one agenda, therefore competes with others in our OWN base, and speaks nothing about GLOBAL CAPITALISM or ECONOMIC DEMOCRACY.

WE expect the media to cover ... to write about WHAT, EXACTLY???

When we have NO critique of GLOBAL CAPITALISM or have ANY clue about a Democracy guided capitalism!! WE are a movement of gilded, elite coastal NIMBYS - as you already know

Trump will not go quietly. He still has his alt-right influencers. But I believe your analysis is correct and is on point about what kind of a leader he is. He is an existential threat to America. I don't agree with some of the tactics that have been used to foist him from power... as such activities diminish the overall general well being of the United States... But I am really hoping for DeSantis to emerge. He seems like the most popular and sane candidate on offer on the right right now.

Trump is like a Teflon cockroach--nothing seems to stick to him or kill him. Further, I would submit that the poison he has released into our political body has now spread too far to be contained. If he is not the Republican nominee in 2024, who is the likely frontrunner? It's Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is just as obnoxious and right wing (if not even more so) but is smarter about the way he does things.

All the women in the United States both Democrat and Republican should hold Trump ultimately responsible for their loss of access to life saving health care. The word fib was used in your article. I think lies is more accurate. I think he is unable to tell himself the truth. ‘You’re Fired Donald Trump’

PS, Is your read of the room demographics connoting grade school? The cartoons are sophomoric and really detract from any substance in your argument.

Torching a president like Pelosi has done should be impeachable - she is useless.

I like Trump for what he accomplished, not how loud he was.

So far Biden has only ruined things.

1/6 hearings are a joke - where is the other side of the arguement?

No, Trump asked for 20,000 national guardsmen almost a week before the event and Pelosi denied their use.

The election was manipulated - not stolen by false ballots - and main stream media did it.
