Good morning. You mentioned in today's column that "Ukraine is being fast-tracked into the European Union — which will help it build new institutions to dismantle its corrupt oligarchy and judiciary."

Would you please elaborate on this - I assume you mean the corrupt oligarchy and judiciary in Ukraine, correct?

yes Ukraine's oligarchs and entire judiciary must go. Kolomoisky has been nationalized already but they all must be and the EU has templates for other institutions that Ukraine has agreed to adopt (when it signed the application to join)

I agree with your points, but I can't see Russia "going quietly into the night". I fear that Putin would rather burn the world down, no matter what the consequences, rather than either withdraw and/or accept defeat.

I disagree. Putin is evil but he's not stupid and will (probably is already negotiating) find a way to keep his billions, yachts and secure mansion. But don't be surprised if a year or two after he fades into the sun that somebody quietly takes care of business and he is found drowned in his pool.
