Really hoping that you're right, but my fear is that the new pro-Russia Republican House of Representatives, once it is seated in January, will really do its "best" to cut off all aid to Ukraine.

Excellent reporting as usual, thank you. The Ukraine is fighting Putin to save their lives and protect Western democracies, especially continental Europe. Yet they have rules of engagement not to touch Russian soil and Putin has a free hand to commit war crimes. The Ukraine is showing the true EVIL in Putin and I hope he doesn't represent the general population of the Russian people.

Your research is always amazing. I agree that Ukraine will win because they have the training, experience, and advanced technical abilities to do so. They think before they fight.

Stationary video scanners will soon emerge, vs drones, that will watch anything that moves up to 17 miles away, and there will be thousands of them interconnected overlooking massive battlefields. If an enemy is spotted his co-ordinates will be provided to a precision fire base. Drones will continue but will not be as thorough.

Ukraine had one third of the Russian nuclear arsenal. Does anyone doubt they could respond with a large dirty bomb – Russia’s nuclear threat seems hollow.

I don’t know when they will win.

Excellent. Is spread of covid a factor in Russia as in China? Or are they using effective vaccines unlike Chinese?

My newsletter dated the day of the invasion — February 24 2022 — was titled “This is not war, this is genocide” and explained the history and what would happen. It was eerily prescient.

I’m glad Snyder and the world realize this horror.

Now Russia must be punished and obliterated

The cruelties from the Russian leadership and soldiers are stunningly horrible. Their cruelties are greatly under-reported, it seems to me.

I follow Timothy Snyder’s information too. Though we may never know how many Ukrainians are being captured and taken to Russia, where the children are put up for adoption, the (preferred white) women are dispersed through Russia to generate a new generation of now Russian children, and the men are taken to filtration camps where they will be starved, tortured and often killed--these numbers according to the Russians are in the millions. The Russian treatment of the Ukrainians is a genocide, says Snyder. Among the recent videos on this subject:

Helsinki Commission--Russian Genocide in Ukraine. Also at 4 mins in, Snyder starts:

Russia’s actions meet all the defining features for a genocide. We should hammer the public media with this reason to continue to support Ukraine, along with all the other very important reasons.

I look forward to your thoughts on Biden's openness to talk with Putin, according to the NY Times, and what the outcome of such a meeting might bring.
